Why our senior sessions
You get to be you
It is extremely important to me that the true you shines through in your senior pictures. If you are fun-loving and bubbly, it will be my job to capture that. If you are more serious, I can DEFINITELY showcase that smoulder. It’s my job to showcase who YOU are and I want you to be proud to show them off.
While I strive to get natural expressions that showcase YOU, I also want you to look natural in your images. “un-posing” has become a hot photographer word these days, but I see it as my job to give you at least a little direction. After all, I have years of experience and knowledge in what looks best on different body types. I can help you move from “just a pose” to making you APPEAR effortless and relaxed and still looking your best.
Clean Natural editing
My photographic style is classic and clean. While I will edit away blemishes, I have extensive experience so you will never look too smooth or washed out. I always strive for accurate colors, textures and tones. Simply put, natural never goes out of style. Plus- you put a ton of work into picking out your clothes and I want you to remember them the color they actually are!
Senior sessions, unlike all the others, last a whole 2 to 2.5 hours. I know two hours may sound like a lot, but I try really hard to take my time in order to create a natural, relaxed, and fun senior picture experience! Plus it allows us time to change locations, wardrobe, hair, and props so that you can have plenty of variety for your pictures.

Commonly Asked Questions
All the location questions:
In a standard 2 hour session we can usually fit in 3-4 locations depending on distance between locations. I consider a location to be a general “area” that has many spots to photograph in. For example, if you choose the east village (that is one location), a park could be a second area, and your high school a third. I recommend choosing locations no more than 15 min apart. I can and will recommend location ideas to you based on your senior questionnaire responses.
What should you wear?
Most seniors pack anywhere from 3-6 outfits. I recommend picking clothes that display your personality and style. If you love to dress up, then let’s do it! If you only wear hoodies, then let’s definitely display that. As a rule of thumb, try to avoid tight micro patterns (tight and tiny repeating patterns) and waffle shirts. These patterns/textures do not photograph well. Also avoid neon shirts as they reflect strange colors onto your face.
Otherwise I recommend choosing clothes you can move in and watch out that your undergarments aren’t showing! You may consider how easy it is to change your wardrobe in a car as indoor changing locations aren’t always easy to find when we photograph on location.
How do you book a session?
Fill out the contact form here on the site or send me a text at the number on the contact page. We will look at our calendars and pick your date. Once we pick a date, I will text or email you a scheduling confirmation. The confirmation will prompt you to pay a $100 non-refundable retainer to hold the date of your session. If for some reason you need to reschedule we can do that, if you need to cancel you will have the option of applying the retainer towards another session. The remainder of your session fee is due on the day of your session.
How and when do I get my images?
After your session I narrow your images to around 100 of the best images. I don’t do much in the way of editing these images yet. 1 week after the session I will email you a proofing gallery. You will have 10 days to finalize your image choices. Once you pick your favorites I will edit them up. About 2 weeks after that I deliver the final gallery and your download pin number. Optionally, I can mail you a flash drive with your images for an additional $15. Your images will be sized to a 4×6 ratio and sized appropriately to allow printing at any size up to 30″.
What is a family session add-on
You can optionally add on a family session to be photographed a different day. Family sessions are typically 1 hour and $275 with 30 digital images included. I offer family session as an add-on for a discounted price of $200. Thats only $100 with the full senior session package!
Do I need professional makeup?
There is a HUGE difference in “every day make up” and “camera ready” makeup. Regular makeup is hard to see through all the filters of high definition cameras. A professional will use highly pigminted makeup so that you will look natural yet stunning for your session. Plus- our makeup artist will set your makeup so that your face will be flawless from beginning to end. Sweat and humidity can’t bring you down!
